YO! it's 080808 today! wonderful day huh? Lots of couples rushing to get registered for their marriage & lots of pregnant women have been waiting for this day to give birth to their babies. In order to have another 080808,most probably you got to wait for another 100 or 1000 years to come. Let's see whether humans can live till 1000 years later first. Okay, let me get back to my point.
Olympic is starting today & right now, it's the opening ceremony. Best wishes to all those competing for Singapore! Even though the athletics had left for Beijing days/ weeks ago, but it's still not too late to give them my blessings. I'm sure they'll return to Singapore with GLORY! Why? cause they will be getting better achievements than they had 4 yrs ago.
Today is another special day. School's Ndp today. GUESS WHAT????? GIRL GUIDES ATTAINED THE UG SHIELD! ug shield is some sort of a compeition among my sch's 5 ug. It was introduced in 2005. This year is the 4th yr. Out of the 4 yrs, guides managed to attain the ug shield for the 3rd time! isn't that something to be proud of? I was shocked & estatic when i heard from jiemin that we'll be getting the ug shield! So did the rest of the sec 4 & 5! YEAH! KEEP IT UP QUEST GUIDES! Juniors, it's up to to work hard and get it for the 4th, 5th, etc time! JIA YOU!
Nonetheless, all the 5 UG were awarded with their company's award and the best cadets awards by Mrs Bala. Photos are with Fiona. Wait till i recieve it from her, i'll thn post it up (: I'M REALLY HAPPY TODAY! except from the fact that the area above my eyes started to hurt when i was about to recieve the prizes. I must had looked terrible then. Can't even open my left eyes fully. & many asked whether i'm feeling alright. Thanks for all of your concern ((: I'm feeling a lot better now. eh wait, it's starting to hurt again.
Back to the olympic, greece is making their entry into Beijing's bird nest. Okay, the stadium is huge, very huge. Lots of ppl are gathering there right now. but hey! all those spectators spent about 2hrs of their entire life with each other. shan't sidetrack. it's now for Maldives to make thier entry. I'm waiting for Singapore to enter the stadium. I'm expecting a huge contingent from Singapore entering the stadium with pride & honour. Of course, with full of confident! If i'm not wrong, Li JiaWei is the flag bearer. Goodluck for her table-tennis!
WOW! I'm astonished by Japan, Denmark, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Canada etc... huge contingent! There will be one day that Singapore will be marching in in big contingent like theirs. maybe this day won't happen so soon cause olympic is like once every 4 yrs? haha
Tmr is SINGAPORE NATION DAY! WOOHOO~ HAPPY 43RD BIRTHDAY TO YOU! i'm going to try my best next yr to watch it live at marina bay! when youth olympic starts, i feel like going to watch it too. HAHA. mayb when that day comes, my enthusiasm is gone ):
