No habit to post pictures of my trip. Maybe I did so in the past but I rmb I didn't post for the recent trips I've been to.
Stayed in Shanghai from the 21st to the 23rd Dec 09. Touched down in S'pore on the 24th dawn.
On the way out of Shanghai Pudong airport.
We left Beijing in the noon and reached Shanghai in the evening.
The whole tour group stayed in the hotel near Nanjing Road. A shopping area similar to orchard road but orchard road definitely have more things than there! Since we're in Shanghai, it's free and easy except for the last day.
After leaving our luggage in our rooms, my fam and I left to settle our lunch at Nanjing Road.
The road opposite the hotel I'm staying. I like how the roads are brightly light up! Nice :D
At Nanjing Rd..
hmm.. European style buildings/plazas? Anywho, I like the buildings too ((:
Dinner for that night is at ...............................
YOSHINOYA!!!!!!! lol.
My set meal :D Tasty!! I think I didn't pay more than 6 SGD for this.
and the restaurant is huge! At least a lot larger than the ones we have back in S'pore. Not much evidences to show though. heh
That's the counter and there's even a larger eating area behind.. Hmm.. I think it's at least 3/4 times larger than gw's yoshi.
their tables and deco are nice too (:
Dessert after yoshi!!! Smelly tofu!!! :DDD The smell is wahseh! Pungent but yet ppl are buying it. lol
Smelly but nice :DD Had it with chilli and sweet sauce.
There's no difference between the walking pathment and the roads at Nanjing Rd. Only at the cross junction lah. People doesn't really care much when it's red man at the traffic light. Pity the vehicles that are trying to cross. haha.
Second day
Bus stop in front of the hotel i stayed at. Hotel room is small.
Taxi. The driver's seat covered with that thingy. No idea what's that for.
First shopping location in Shanghai. Still, there's not much things to buy. It's winter there but the weather's much better than Beijing (: I likey the weather :D
Back to Nanjing Road for lunch. Same words. I like the buildings there (:
Morning view (:
Lunch! Omelette's nice and it's huge! We ordered a total of two plates. heh.
Drunken LIVE prawns! I did eat one of the live prawns can! My brothers, mum & aunt didn't eat the live ones cause they didn't dare. Only my dad and I at least tried one. haha. In the end, dad asked the waitress to boiled the live prawns. lol. Verdict: Live prawns are nicer than the cooked ones :DD
Bro was unwell during lunch & we went back hotel to rest till it's late afternoon. Took the chance to have an afternoon nap. shiok ar! haha
Once again, Nanjing road. lol. Bo bian we stayed two streets away only.
We walked to their mrt station cause we wanted to take the Maglev train.
Waiting for the train! See how detailed it is? Prefer the mrt station there (:
Look at the speed of the Maglev train! Such a pity. We missed the 430km/h :( It's a direct train to the Pudong airport from one of the train station. But the ticket is expensive. I think the to and fro ticket cost at least 50SGD? Can't rmb. Nice experience though (:
We trained to the airport and have dinner then back to the mrt station. Lame I know but shiok. heheh,
Our pink two way tickets :D
Inside the Maglev train.
As it's traveling at high speed, the train is a little shaky..
failed. shaky luh plus noob cam. lol
The highest speed for that time period.
301km/h shiok eh!
Entrance of the train.
Dinner! KFC! it's huge too! About 3 times the size of tiong's kfc?
Picture failed to show the size of KFC.
My dinner. I ordered grass jelly milk tea without grass jelly -.- LOL. milk tea's nice but i regretted not wanting the grass jelly :( The popcorn's chicken nice too!
I couldn't get in with my ticket. Think they gave me a one-way ticket instead of a two-way. So they gave me the two white papers as my entry.
Oh ya. We have to scan our bags when we are entering any mrt station. Just like what we've to do at the airport.
Waiting area for the Maglev Train. When the train arrives, we'll then take the escalator down to take the train.
That's their Mrt ticket. Colourful right? That's their number of mrt lines they have. Complicating eh.
Their mrt train when empty. Their train is better than sg lah. There's news, commercial displaying inside the train. At least there's entertainment lah. won't be bored inside train. heh
When we reached back Nanjing station, bro wanted to take the tram. RMB 2 for a ride from one end of Nanjing Road to the other end. Different from S'pore eh. Imagine taking a tram in orchard road. lol. unimaginable.
Christmas tree at Nanjing road.
Third Day/ Last Day
First tourist destination stop.
The mcdonald's that is not open. Cold weather eat what ice cream! but I did eat ice cream back in beijing. heh. but ate indoors of course.
Youngest bro trying to do letter M. That's my dad in black.
If I'm not wrong, it's old Shanghai buildings.
haha. It's a must to keep applying lip balm if not our lips will definitely crack.
Tour guide brought us to this area/streets to settle our own lunch because lunch wasn't provided.
My lunch. Fried soft shell crab I think. Not bad(:
Me & my bro's lunch. Nice also. Seee. how can not be even fatter. hehe.
Brothers kept doing this whenever they go lah.
Last 'shopping area' in shanghai.
Nothing to buy at all!!! The tour guide bluffed everyone in the tour that there's a lot of things to buy and similar to the mall my family and I went to on the second day. Not true at all! The mall we went to is at least crowded and have many things displaying! But for this mall, it's only two stories and nothing much. Many shops are selling the same things and it's really a very very very small mall. Oh ya, and we're given 4 hours to 'shop' there. lol. totally nth to buy and we went back to the bus to rest before heading off to airport.
Their local tour guide didn't follow us to the airport and everyone in the tour, including the tour leader, wasn't happy with that.
Okay! Finally finished :DD Feeling shiok cause I did what I wanted to :DDD
