Face Reading: What Does That Smile Mean?

What does that smile really mean?


Just because someone smiles at you, it doesn't mean that they are pleased to see you, or even happy. Humans have a large repertoire of smiles which indicate different things. We need a good understanding of facial expression and body language, to work these out correctly.


There are eighty muscles at work in a smiling face. Genuine, happy smiles tend to broaden out from a minor facial movement to a broad expression that encompasses the whole face.


Smiles don't have to be happy. They can be smiles of fear, misery, or even contempt. Smiles send powerful messages in terms of body language, but there seems to be a difference in the way they are used.


Women smile more than men when they don't know what to do, because they know that if they smile they won't get it wrong. Men tend not to smile when they don't know what to do because they see it as a sign of weakness.

Had the urged to blog something relating to smiles. Today's chinese mock exam gave me the inspiration. wei xiao neng dai gei ren kuai le ((: I agree totally on that. Both the article & the passage. Had TWO mock exams today. Lit & Mother tongue. I hope i passed cause what I'd written on the paper was full of crap :/ It won't be the same for Mid-Yr. The marks i mean. It'll be better.


Talking about Mid-year, it's next wed & i'm not prepared for it. Didn't study much also. Just a few revision done during tuition & school. I hope i won't regret it when i see the marks on my papers. English & Chinese Prelim Oral had ended ytd. Pleased with english oral. I was kinda surprise when Mrs Dass commented on my marks. She didn't say the marks but commented on it. Surprise because i didn't talk much. was kind of craping away for oral. I'm counting on oral & compo to pull up my english marks. Compre is my weakest spot for english. Eng can fail cause of that ): NO WAY WILL I LET THAT HAPPEN!


KRYSTAL-AMELIA WONG XIN HUI IS GOING TO WORK HARD FROM TODAY ONWARDS! There's a report/ survey which shows that when you tell someone what are your goals, you're more likely to achieve them! Forgot where i read that but i'm sure i saw that somewhere before but i don't know where.


I'm sure i can do it. But it's all up to my will-power.

51st speech & prize giving. received the cert. from tanjong pagar grc MP i think. Mr Bay. He's friendly ((:

Band played Boulevard of Broken Dreams. It was nice.

Choir sang ya lai siang. That was nice.

Drama actors acted really well.

Finally Finally! A chance to blog. My blog's dead. seriously dead. nah. shan't bother abt that.

I'm begining to feel demoralised abt my physic. The qn seems so alien to me. who to blame? but blame myself. got to buck KRYSTAL! no slacking ya? counting down to mid-yr. Thn it will be prelims, then the most horrifying of all- O LVL! NVM. just have to bear with it for 7 months. after that i can get all the time to play & of course, work ((:

speech day this fri. 6.15pm to 9.55pm. I'm going to be dead beat on that day. but looking on the bright side, the sch's ending at 11.20am instead of the usual time. YIPEEE :D

KRYSTAL shall go mia for a few wks before her next post :P
